Chinese New Year Day 2

Posted on the January 24th, 2012 under Updates by

We just went to my godmum’s house in the morning, and then to my in laws’ place for dinner. As a yearly practise, we took a family photo at my in laws’ place, with a new addition to the family. :)

Huat ah! Chinese New Year!

The year of dragon is here! I was sick for a few days before the Chinese New Year, and only got better during Chinese New Year Eve, and I do hope I have really recovered fully cause I still feel heaty and my temperature was still not totally down yet. Huat ah! Bad things gone, good things come! Huat Huat, smooth smooth!

Anyway, for Chinese New Year Eve, as usual, we went to my in laws’ place to eat Reunion Dinner in the afternoon, and my parents’ place to eat at night. On the first day of Chinese New Year, we went to hubby’s godmum’s place to visit, followed by praying at Joo Chiat Guan Yin Temple, and went to River Ang Bao at Marina Bay Float. Last year, we also went to the River Ang Bao (http://ido.per.sg/theincredibles/?p=10944).  However, it started to pour quite heavily when we were halfway there, so we went back to my parents’ place.

The kids were so excited with Chinese New Year, all the new clothes, goodies to eat and places to go. They were just like when I was young, excited about Chinese New Year! Till now, it is still my favorite festival. I love Chinese New Year, and always wish for a smooth and good New year ahead for my whole family.

Violet is 3 years old!

Violet is 3 years old! We had a simple cake cutting session yesterday with my parents and in laws. Today, because I was not feeling well, and Dash had to go to school in the afternoon, so we just went to Violet’s school to give out the goodie bags, and brought her for lunch at Swensens. Finally, we brought her to temple to pray. Happy birthday my lovely girl! Hope you will be able to start learning your abcs, and 123 from now! Thank you all the Aunties and Uncles for the lovely presents!
