Clapping Hands!

November 20th, 2009 by Mummy

cimg8351

Violet is 10 months old now. She can crawl front and back very fast now, and stand up with support. She can also wave her hands to say goodbye, and now she can clap her hands too! (you have to watch the video for a while to catch her clapping her hands.) She is currently drinking about 180-200ml of milk per 3 hourly, and on 2 solid meals. She loves baby biscuits and bread. She hates to be scolded, once you raise your voice, she will wail, thinking you are scolding her. She is still ever so attention seeking, and needs someone by her side at ALL TIMES, unless she is sleeping. She doesn’t like to sit stroller, but is ok with baby carrier…her favorite toy: Her brother, she loves to play with him. Waiting for another 2 more months for Violet to be one year old! yeaaaaahhh.

Malay costume

November 20th, 2009 by Mummy

Borrowed this set of Malay costume from my nice Malay colleague cause Dash needs it for concert (want to save $, dun want to buy). His teacher has asked me to get a Malay costume so that she can pair him up with another girl wearing nonya costume (his girlfriend edith). haha. But he is a bit uncomfortable wearing this costume, he is like that one, he is very particular about the thing he is wearing, like his jeans cannot have zips, pants must have pockets, shirts must be short sleeves (I invested in a lot of long sleeves shirts for him cause thinking that his childcare is aircon, but he doesn’t like to wear them now) etc.

Wow! I feel my boy looks sooooooooooo handsome is this malay costume. Don’t u think so? :p

Porridge

November 17th, 2009 by Mummy

This is what I love to cook for Dash, and I want to blog it down, so that in future, when Dash grows up, he knows he eats such porridge to help him grow. haha. Why do I like to cook such porridge 1. Saves time 2. I can throw all the ingredients like vegetables, meat, fish etc inside and let him absorbs all the nutrients 3. It is cost saving

I am working on weekdays, so I will tend to cook such porridge for Dash as it can be cooked in just half an hour. Lazy mummy…but after a day of tired work, you want me to think of 3 dishes and 1 soup, I think I will drop dead on the floor.

Happy birthday to me!

November 15th, 2009 by Mummy

Today is my birthday, but is a boring one, cause Dash is down with flu and cough again (he was down on his own birthday, and now again on my birthday! Hubby’s birthday coming, hopefully, he will not be down again!), and me myself is having slight sore throat (I always kerna whatever Dash has). Anyway, so this year birthday is a very very boring one. I was even quite upset, cause we couldn’t really go anywhere. Violet was very cranky today (she must have known that today is Mummy’s special day and so purposely wants to create “surprise = troubles” for me), and Dash is still not well, so in the end, we just stayed at home the whole day, and da bao swensens food. Well, one good thing is if you dine in at swensens, you have to pay service charge, but for take away food, there is no service charge, so can save a few dollars.

Though today is a boring birthday celebration for me, but actually, I should be contented, cause I have my whole family with me. It is a dream comes true for me, as this year, Violet is with us. Afterall, no matter how grand a birthday celebration can be, or how expensive a gift can be, the most important thing is still the whole family being together, happy and healthy. Happy birthday to me!

gathering1 Happy birthday to me! A nice mummy took this photo of me during feb thread mummies gathering. I am one year older now, and a mummy of 3 children!

Feb thread mummies gathering

November 14th, 2009 by Mummy

First time joining such gathering. It was held at a condominium function room. Anyway, because there were lots of mummies and babies, so it was a bit difficult to interact with everyone, and to really get to know one another. But however, Violet enjoyed herself totally there cause there were so many babies like her. We tried to participate in the fastest crawling baby and fastest toy snatcher games, but Violet was busy wailing only. haha. But it really gave me a great opportunity to bond with Violet. Not much photos taken as there were mummies and babies everywhere! The last 2 photos were taken by a mummy, wow, think she is rather professional!

When will this ever stop????

November 13th, 2009 by Mummy

Dash is down with cough and running nose again, even though I had done the following:

1. clean my house twice a week (once by weekly cleaner, and once by my own self, used to clean house once a week by weekly cleaner only!)

2. Fed him with starfruit + chen pi boiling drink once per week

3.  Fed him with vit C every morning

4. Cherie Hearts fed him with cod liver oil everyday

5. Cook more home food for him instead of da bao outside food, I always make it a point to try to include vegetables and fish. Even if we eat outside food, I ensure they are healthy food.

6. Initially brought him to eu yan sang to build up his body, but had stopped a while, now going to bring him to a chinese physician at ang mo kio recommended by my father in law’s friend.

But still he is down…does your kid fall sick that often? Dash is like once every month!

Addition of toys

November 13th, 2009 by Mummy

Just can’t resist buying toys…sigh. I must REALLY STOP myself.

Anyway, recently, there is a bulk purchase on little tikes toys, so I went to get a blown up obstacle centre and golf set. I also bought a see saw for the kids as I thought can act as rocking toy for Violet too. The see saw is a 2nd hand toy bought from another mummy.

Well, in the end, more space taken up in my small little house. Just hope the kids will enjoy the toys (else sooner or later you will see be selling them away!)

Sharing with u

November 12th, 2009 by Mummy

I will usually buy bread for Dash to eat when I fetch him home from childcare. Few days ago, he chose one pack of sunshine 6 or 8 pieces (can’t remember) pandan small breads, and said he wanted to share with Mei Mei. When Mei Mei came home, he really did share with her, and fed her. Lovely brother…but strangely, though Dash loves his mei mei a lot and will miss her when she is not at home (cause mon and thursday Violet will stay overnight with my in laws), but when it comes to toys, still, he doesn’t really want to share with her. haha
